A Garden of Pansies
A Tapestry of Emotions and Colors.Both of my parents had "green thumbs" and a love of gardening. Together they turned the outside of our home into a haven of lush greenery and vibrant flowers, my favorite being the purple pansies.
Our front yard captivated people passing by and was admired by everyone in the neighborhood. I assumed that I would have a garden one day, but after many dead plants and flowers, I realized that I hadn't inherited their talent.
Recently, after looking at paintings of pansies by other artists, I decided that even though I'm not good at gardening, I can paint a garden. This is when I decided to paint "A Garden of Pansies" to represent the beauty they add to a garden, or someone's favorite wall.
